About Me

My Story

My name is Alina. I live in South West London in Wimbledon with my husband and two children.

The positive experience of my own childbirth prompted me to look for options how I could help pregnant women on their way to motherhood. I remember the day when I first heard about doula and felt that this was what I want to do professionally.

My Experience

In 2012, I gave birth to my son at the Birth Center of Queen Charlotte’s and Chelsea Hospital, and in 2014, to my daughter at St George’s Hospital. It was a wonderful natural water birth. During the labour I used breathing techniques, acupressure, visualization and massage.

I also have successful personal experience of breastfeeding (1.5 and 2 years long).

In 2017, I trained as a doula with Kicki Hansard in London. I continued my studies with the famous obstetrician Michel Odent and doula Liliana Lammers.

I studied with the traditional midwives Alyona Lebedeva and Yulia Shelepina, learned the techniques of rebozo massage from the Mexican midwife Angelina Martinez Miranda.

To learned the techniques of soft hypnosis in childbirth with Anastasia Ivanova.

I graduated from the organization “Milky Rivers of Ukraine” as a breastfeeding counsellor.

For the competent use of essential oils during pregnancy and childbirth I took a course of evidence-based aromatherapy at Aromashka.

For the competent use of homeopathy during pregnancy and childbirth I took a Homeopathy fo doulas course of Elaine Goode.

I accompanied childbirth at such hospitals as St Thomas’ Hospital, St Mary’s Hospital, Portland Hospital, Chelsea&Westminster Hospital, Kingston Hospital, UСL Hospital, St George’s Hospital, Whittington Hospital, Epsom Hospital, St Helier’s hospital, Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Royal Free Hospital, Rosie Hospital, Darent Valley Hospital, Newham Hospital, East Surrey Hospital.

I have experience in accompanying both natural birth and birth using epidural anesthesia and by caesarean section, VBAC, singleton and twins births.

I am deeply convinced that childbirth for a woman is an experience incomparable in its depth, and how she lives it will largely affect not only the postpartum period, but also her entire life. Therefore, it is so important for me to surround you with care and love so that you remember your experience of childbirth with joy and a sense of satisfaction.

My Philosophy

I believe in inner feminine strength and intuition. My task as a doula is to help you at this special time: to be with you, to hear your desires and thoughts, to find and work through possible fears associated with childbirth; help you find your inner strength and learn to work with it; support you emotionally; and help your partner get involved in the process.
